Bagwi wrote “We received this for my daughter at 12 months. By the time she was 15 months, it was too small for her. There was no leg room for her & she looked so uncomfortable after awhile. As much as she loved this, we didn’t obtain much use out of it. I think it’s misleading when it states ages are for 1.5 – 3. I don’t think a 2 year would fit in the buggy.”
SandyLu562 wrote “My 18 month old grandson loves to go for rides in his buggy. He holds the wheel & honks the horn & looks around. The wheels are nice & wide & effortless to push over rough sidewalks. The trunk holds your phone, keys, water, & snacks! I wish I’d gotten it for him 6 months ago! I think a one-year-old would have a blast with this.”
Robin W wrote “We received this car for my 9 month old for Christmas. As “Santa” was putting it together Christmas eve, the piece that secures the steering wheel fell into the steering wheel hole, & we were not able to retrieve. We were left with no option yet to try to screw the steering wheel in, which has not been the best substitute. Other than that, my son loves sitting in this car. It entertains him so much more than a stroller. As long as he is buckled in, he sits very securely. I would recommend this product, yet be careful when assembling.”
Christina B wrote “Our 18-month old received this for his first birthday, & has been obsessed with it ever since! Everyday he asks to go for a ride in his car…he loves to hide treasures in the hood, honk the horn, & control the wheel when we push him around in it. We use it 1-2 times a day, & he would MUCH rather ride in this than in his pricy stroller. Of course, the wheels are plastic, so it’s loud on the sidewalk, & the handling isn’t fantastic, yet overall what a tremendous deal for the price paid!”
Brittany wrote “We love this little car. I had one that lasted through 3 of my 4 boys until we moved cross country & decided we didn’t need it anymore & then ended up having another baby & had to buy a new one. All 4 of my boys loved/love this car. My little ones eyes light up every time he sees it. Definitely worth the money.”
Anne-Marie wrote “I purchased the Step 2 Deluxe ride on car for my grandchildren & they loved it. Knowing that, I purchased this one as an extra. I am disappointed in it for many reasons. It is smaller that the deluxe, it doesn’t have a cup holder & the horn sound like a weak squeaky toy. All around, I wish I had purchased another Step 2 Deluxe.”
Austin L wrote “We have many Step2 products & have always been very pleased. The Buggy, which you probably see all around, is average at best. It is really quite small. Our 2 & half year old daughter is 5th percentile for size. She still fits in 18 month stuff. She is, pun intended, pushing the size limit. There was moreover quite a bit of assembly. It was to be expected, yet they at least could have put the stickers on for instance. The wheels moreover don’t seem like they will hold up that long. Very unfortunately there is no way to put the handle down for trips in a car trunk short of taking off the entire nut & bolt. But there is a lot of good. VERY effortless to push. One hand & it pushes super easily. The trunk in front is nice. And our daughter really enjoys it. If it was sized better & they had made the handle foldable underneath, then effortless 4 or 5. But if you obtain this when your child is 10 or 12 months then I think it is worth it for the next year or year & a bit.”
Cecilia wrote “Car is very well made. My grandston loves it. The trunk in front holds things to take on your walk with you. The wheels are alittle noisy on concrete – yet you obtain used to it after a few uses. He looks forward to his car ride everytime he visits his grandma.”
MLTD wrote “My 15 month old daughter loves this car, we gave it to her for Christmas. Unfortunately, she’s only going to be able to ride in it for a few more months if we’re lucky- she’s on track to outgrow it, fast! She is tall for 15 months & on the thin side- moms at the playground say she looks at least 24 months. Her feet rest on the floor while she sits in the car & when she grows another inch, she’s going to start being uncomfortable. I was hoping to use this for longer than a few months- so frustrated because the product says it’s satisfactory for kids 18-36 months.”
CJ wrote “We received this second hand from a friend who used it with her daughter, so we didnt purchace it. But I would have! I LOVE this car. I read some of the 1 star reviews who said it was small, & I never noticed. My son is huge for his age, approximately 30lbs, 33.5 inches & 16 months old (but hes been at that weight since he was 11 months old) & he fits in it just fine. He loves going for walks outside while riding in his car lol he beeps the horn & its really fun. The only thing I hate is it is LOUD!! I wish the wheels were made of something that would make it less noisey. After a 10 min walk you may not notice how loud it is until you STOP & then you’re like WOW haha I took this car to my moms neighborhood for trick or treating this year & I was saying “what?!” a few times when people were trying to talk to me, yet overall its a lot of pleasant for my son, he loves it & I’d say its a worth while product!”
Bette B wrote “this toy has too many parts & incorrect assembly instructions! I would never buy another toy to assemble! What a pain!”
WillsMommy wrote “My son is 1 year old, & has a tremendous time playing & riding on his car. It is convenient for me as well, because he likes to ride on it so much that it has nearly replaced his baby stroller for short trips around the neighborhood. He gets a better view, better posture, & more freedom to walk when he is inclined to, yet there is a seat belt to restrain him when safety is a concern. The downfalls are probably the wheels; I wish they were constructed out of something more suitable for outdoor travel (although, they have held up so far). It moreover doesn’t work well for long trips, because it is not collapsible & will not fit in the trunk.”
