She talked just approximately everyone in the family into playing this with her, child & adult alike. I was pleased to see that though the colors & textures kept her occupied, it was still simple enough that anyone who walked by (and she took advantage of that!), was able to sit down & quickly play & round or two without a lot of complicated rules. Would unquestionably recommend for children in this age bracket!!”
Jodi wrote “We are really enjoying this fun, well made game. The pieces are very cute. The instructions are effortless to follow. It’s kind of a variation of Hi Ho, Cherry-o yet with larger, chunkier, colorful acorns instead of cherries. A twist on the Cherry-o game is that instead of picking up the pieces with your fingers, you tweeze them up with the squirrel, which adds fine-motor skills to the mix. My six & five year old love playing this!”

Plus, with the right parental attitude during game play, it nicely teaches turn taking, colors, loss (lose all your acorns square), & if done playfully, the sneaky squirrel square is pleasant to grab someone’s acorn – or to have your acorn stolen. A simple (for adults), yet cute game, that the child should enjoy for awhile before outgrowing it.”

While the game is visually appealing (and the tree-shaped box is clever), there’s not much to the game itself & both of my kids received bored by it very easily. A better (albeit more advanced) game with a similar concept is Hi-Ho Cherry-O. I really wanted to like this game yet we were all disappointed.”

It’s a tremendous game for little kids (though, at least at my house, the older ones don’t have a problem playing along, too). It’s very effortless to understand yet has enough “twists” to not be tedious (the tremendous wind can blow all of your acorns back into the tree, the sneaky squirrel might come steal one, etc.). However, the positive options outweigh the negative, & I like that–it doesn’t obtain overly discouraging like some other games where kids can never seem to obtain ahead! It helps with color matching & dexterity (picking up the acorns & putting them in your log with the squirrel squeezers can obtain tricky!) & it’s just a nice family game for families with young ones. It’s somewhat reminiscent of “Hi-ho Cherry-o,” though I think that I personally enjoy “Sneaky Snacky” better.”

Maggie wrote “Bought the game based on all the rave reviews. I bought two games, one as a present & another to be given to my daughter on her 4th birthday. Glad I haven’t given her the game yet! She saw her friend open up the game & was curious approximately it for 2 minutes yet was not interested to play at all! Maybe its just my daughter outgrowing this type of matching game. Great concept though & the game pieces are nicely made. It makes a tremendous present for toddlers with siblings. I am sure there are plenty of kids that will love this game.”

I LOVE IT!!! It is short & simple, pleasant & easy. My two year old can easily play this game with her 4 & 6 yr old brothers. It is tremendous for learning counting & colors, simple in rules, & short enough for their attention span. My favorite part, is that it is SIMPLE! Just use the darling little pinchers & obtain acorns. It is NOT a frustrating game for parents to play with kids. It is absolutely wonderful! Our new family favorite.

This is really only the second board game that they have ever played with us from start to finish. It normally takes us approximately 15 minutes to complete a game & it holds their attention the entire time. All of the parts & pieces are colorful & are made well too. We will unquestionably outgrow the game together before the pieces ever wear out.”

I have a 3 year old & 6 year old boys & we have played this game countless times since Christmas morning. They love it & I think it is quite cute, so I don’t mind playing several times in a row. it works on fine motor skills because the squirrel is like a large pair of tweezers, so they have to squeeze it to pick up the acorn. It was unquestionably money well spent.”
