Jennifer M wrote “After receiving it, i was able to put it together fairly easily yet the tiny screws were a little complex to maneuver around – you unquestionably need a long, skinnt screwdriver for this. The only thing I did not like was that the flags on the top of the castle come right off; there is nothing really holding them there. The same thing where the base connects to the castle..if you try to move it, you must hold it by the bottom so it does not come apart. Putting 2 screws to connect the bottom to the castle would be a tremendous idea.”
James B wrote “I received this castle for my niece for her first birthday & she is in love with it. My sister is jealous because my niece plays with this castle more than any of the other gifts that people received her for her birthday, including her parents. I’m not into these kinds of things myself, yet my niece loves it, plays with it every day, it’s built well & seems well worth the price of admission for anybody who would enjoy this kind of thing. The Little People figures that you can buy for it are similarly well made & worth the price.”
Nicole M wrote “The only reason I rated this 3 stars was because of the materials. The flags pop off all time & my daughter gets upset. Sometimes I think if you even look at them wrong they come off. I called FP approximately it & they were clueless, yet my friend has the same problem with hers. The plastic seems pretty flimsy compared to their older Little People products I started buying for my sons 10 years ago. One of the screws became stripped because I didn’t have a thin enough screwdriver to screw in the one side. For what the castle costs (I understand approximately licensing fees), I still feel better material could have been used, especially for a toy made for toddlers & young children.
Other than the material & construction issues, the concept is a nice one. I had my first girl after 2 boys & was excited to buy this for her as she loves Disney princesses. I bought every single 2 pack of the princesses & recently bought the new Jasmine one at Target. I purchased the Cinderella & Ariel coach as well along with the seven dwarfs pack at Walmart. My daughter loves playing with it, I just wish it was constructed better that is all.”
Veronika wrote “Great product for 3 years old & up, my daughter is playing all day, she loves the music & little princesses, tremendous deal too.”
Kingpig wrote “We bought this for our two-year-old daughter for Christmas, & she *loves* it. It comes with two princesses (Cinderella & Snow White) who “talk” when put on a special stand in the middle of the “ballroom”. My daughter moreover received all the accompanying princes/princesses/dwarves/vehicles that were purchased separately, yet all work with the castle. My only issue is that I wish that the other characters (all the non-princesses, such as all the princes that are sold with each princesses, & the dwarves sold in a set with another Snow White) moreover “talked”. It’d be nice to hear from the princes too, even if they didn’t have as many phrases as each of the princesses – just a “Hello, I’m _____!” It’d be really nice if they moreover sang (the princes, the princesses already sing part of a song from their movie), yet that’s probably asking too much. On a related note, I’m moreover a little disappointed in how little this castle actually *does*. There is a spinning “dance floor,” a whistling kettle, double-doors, & a moveable (though with some difficulty) balcony. For the $40 we paid for this (we received it on sale at Target), I was expecting a little… *more*. But, then again, it is targeted toward the 1-5 yr. old crowd, so maybe more interactivity would’ve been overwhelming, I dunno.
But other than that, my daughter really loves this toy, & not just the Disney/Little People that live in her castle – other toys, like dinosaurs, Jake & his Neverland Pirate pals, etc., moreover enjoy hanging around in the castle. All in all, we’re pretty satisfied with this toy, & would likely recommend it to others.”
Sandra J wrote “I did not expect the castle to be so much fun. My 18 month old granddaughter loves opening the blue front doors just to hear the royal princess music. She holds the princesses easily & loves hearing them talk when placed on the dance floor plug spot.”
Chandra W wrote “I purchased this castle for my 2 1/2 year old daughter for Christmas. She absolutely LOVES it. I received it in a very timely matter as well. I love that my daughter can use her imagination with it. She loves all the songs that the princesses sing. My husband had absolutely no problem assembling it either unlike other I read in the comments. I received this cheaper here than I could find in any store. It is unquestionably a hit with my daughter, she will sit & play with it for an endless amount of time. I highly recommend this to anyone was such a tremendous purchase!”
