What the buyers said approximately this magnetic animals toys, here we go:
J Lyon wrote “I bought the magnetic alphabet set in 2009 for my granddaughter who was 3 at the time. She & her 4 year old twin sibling all loved it! They played with it all the time, for months & never received bored with it. I bought another one in 2010, along with the magnetic farm animal set, for my 3 year old twin grandsons. Once again, they were a huge hit! They love playing with both of them. They were a little behind in speech & dexterity, I think this toy helped them on both counts, especially the alphabet one – although they both love the silly animal sounds. They still play with them & they have been through a rough time with these 2 boys!”
Micbird wrote “I bought this for my 16 month old granddaughter. Her parents love to cook so spend alot of time in the kitchen, thought it would donate her something to do while they were cooking! She has played with it several times a day every day while they were here & her mom tells me now that they are home she continues to play with it. She figured out how to make it play music first & is working on putting the peices togeter now. I will purchase more of these!”
Meghan F wrote “This is a tremendous toy! I wont review the toy any longer as many people have already highlighted it’s pros. A 5 star toy, took 1 star bc of the price! The price is outrageous! Originally, it sold for around fifteen dollars & right now amazon has it listed for seventy-two dollars! Is amazon really allowing merchants to price gauge this heavily?!? This is insane! Luckily, i was able to wait until i saw it for thirty-five.”
Midwest Mom wrote “For us this just hasn’t been a tremendous toy. Our kitchen is on the smaller side so the last thing we really need is to have baby playing in it. We received this when she was approximately 9 months. She liked the sounds & would press the spaces over & over. She moreover very much seemed to enjoy taking the magnets off the fridge & throwing them on the floor, followed by the barn. I don’t know how many times one of us has stepped on one of these, & they have been drug far & wide all over our house, car, etc. since she sometimes liked to carry them around. She is now approximately 20 months & it is still on our fridge with a couple of the magnets. She has never found any interest in actually matching the animals… maybe she is still too young? She does like the songs though & pressing the buttons. The toy itself is fine, my only suggestion would be that the toy functions so that each time the baby presses the button the full sound/song is heard. It is very annoying when baby keeps pressing to hear “m-m-m-m-m00″. Cute toy with pleasant songs that friends of ours have loved yet did not work for us.”
Greg M wrote “This is one tough little toy. It has survived years of being dropped, thrown, & trampled. The batteries last forever, & the sounds are great. Even when the matching concept gets old (or before kids can comprehend), the pieces are colorful & fun, & make tremendous fridge magnets. Oh, & the top “button” plays music, which leads to hours of pleasant from just pressing & dancing, pressing & dancing. A must-have for any kid under 4.”

“SUMMARY:
The LeapFrog Fridge Farm Magnetic Animal Set is a fun, clever, well rounded toy. My 1 1/2 year old enjoys playing with it everday. This is typically the 1st toy she navigates toward after breakfast every morning. It plays upbeat, clear, tremendous sounding music, with adjustable volume levels. The toy has some humor built-in when the animal magnets do not match, & is rewarding when they do match. A tremendous addition to my toddler’s toy collection.
MUSIC:
Press the chicken at the top of the barn, & music is played. The music actually sounds pretty clear & the volume has 2 loudness levels. Gives my daughter dancing feet everytime.
MAGNETS:
Each of the animal magnets come in a pair, one for the front half of the animal & another for the back half. A child places a magnet pair in the barn door opening. When the child presses either magnet pair half, & if the pair makes a match, a song plays that congratulates your child for matching the animal magnet pairs & the animal sound is played, moo for cow, neigh for horse, etc…
If your child does not make a match, say front half is cow & back half is duck, then a song still plays & tells your child what each magnet half corresponds to which animal & both animal sounds are played. This is pretty comical & clever. Kudos to LeapFrog for including this feature.
PORTABILITY:
Another tremendous feature is the barn sticks to a metal surface using a magnet as well, & it is light with a nicely rounded handle so your child can carry it with them if they want to place it elsewhere or just play some music.
DRAWBACK:
The only negative I can think of for this toy is the magnets are a bit complex to remove once placed in the barn door opening since they stick so well. This is probably only an issue with less than 12 month old children with weaker hands or adults with larger fingers. A 12+ month old child will probably not have any issue after the first few of minutes playing with the toy. My 1 1/2 year old easily removes the magnets.”
Introduce matching and have fun exploring animal names, sounds and facts with this LeapFrog Fridge Farm Magnetic Animal Set. Mix and match the animal halves to learn the animal's name, the sound it makes and more. Includes 5 farm animals (10 animal pieces in all). Magnetic pieces let you play on the fridge or the floor.
