Reviews of Uncle Goose Alphabet Blocks:

Flower Chica wrote “So I struggled for a while finding the right blocks to buy. I was very pleased with this set. Although there are a few things I kind of wished for :

1 – There are 28 blocks in this set – all uppercase. So if you want the lowercase ones too – prepare to shell out another 30 bucks or so.
2 – The blocks do have somewhat sharp corners – they are not rounded at all. My daughter is 15 months old, so I’m not concerned approximately her getting hurt.
3 – I know someone people talked approximately splinters in their sets – yet I haven’t come across that with mine.
4 – They are in fact made in the USA – how rare!
5 – The blocks are very nicely sized. They aren’t huge yet they are the size I would expect considering the price.
6 – As someone mentioned in their review – not all sides are embossed – yet honestly that doesn’t take away from the design and/or usefulness of the blocks
7 – The animal pictures are somewhat “classic” in design – yet that’s neither a pro or a con

All in all – I love these blocks. I wish more came in the set – yet I’ve gone ahead & purchased the lowercase set to add to this batch. With a total of 56 blocks – we should have no problem making words. If you’re looking for some blocks that seem like the type you keep for the long haul – I’m convinced these are the ones!”

SMD wrote “These blocks are wonderful. My little boy who is 8 months old loves to play with them. Granted he isn’t building much of anything currently, yet he loves to knock them down. He moreover loves to gum them since he is teething. The paint does not come off & the wood does not warp with all his drooly baby spit. I highly recommend these for babies who can pick things up & knock things down. Great product…love love love!”

G’s mom wrote “These blocks are attractive to look at. But dangerous for small hands. They are fresh off the cutting block. No finishing touches to smoothen the edges & corners. Had to use fine sandpaper to smoothen edges myself. Easy to do, yet very time consuming. For the price of these blocks, you shouldn’t have to put in the extra time & money to make them safe for kids.”

Ms Hoa wrote “I received these blocks as a gift when my son turned 1 year old, & I think they are beautiful. I have used them in pictures & will keep them for the future when my son is a little older, or perhaps just for pictures as he grows, & unquestionably for pictures with my next baby. I cannot let him play with them however. The corners are extremely pointy & sharp. He has carried them in both of his hands while he is walking in a teetering motion & when he falls & hits his hands on the ground while holding the blocks, they really injure his little palms. They could even & almost have punctured his skin. If he were to fall on the corner or step on it accidentally, it would really hurt. I would moreover be worried he might hit himself in the eye with this. It could possibly be for an older toddler starting at 18 months, yet I might wait even longer til my son is 3 or 4. My 5 & 7 year old nieces had no trouble playing with these & spelling words. I would unquestionably not be worried for older children to have these. In short, I love these blocks for the quality & design & will keep them, yet wanted to warn you that if you are looking for blocks for a baby under 1 or young toddler approximately 12-14 months old to actually play with, these are too dangerous.”
