Judo C wrote “These circuit packs have come a long way since my day. No wood & wires, the components are neatly attached to the snap pieces. The base is clear plastic; I almost missed it in the packaging!
I had this shipped to my nephew, who is 11. I told him over the phone some of the cautions (like shorting the battery pack with the blue connectors). By the time I was able to see him, he had already put together several of the circuits. The instructions make it as simple as putting together a lego set.
Which reminds me, make sure you take care of the instruction sets. The SC-300 actually comes with the book from the SC-100 & a supplement for the 200-300 circuits. If you lose them, they charge a pretty hefty price for replacements.”
