He loves all of the LEGOs & really enjoys playing with the set. I really liked that it came with wheels/tires, windows, doors & other specialty parts.”

I would recommend supplementing this with a package of basic building blocks (you know, the old-fashioned legos we grew up with that came in approximately 4 sizes). But this is a satisfactory product.”

RM wrote “A satisfactory assortment of basic bricks, plates, & “special” pieces to obtain your little one hooked on Lego. (Honestly? I kind of bought this for myself, not my kid. Fortunately she loves it too!) The “special” pieces are pretty basic – 1 set of 4 wheels, a couple of windows & doors, one minifig & some accessories for him. Enough to build a good-sized house, a helicopter, & a jeep, & have some extra pieces left over.”

Carrie wrote “I purchased this as a “FIRST” LEGO set for my 3.5yr old little boy this Christmas, I knew that he was mature enough to not put the pieces in his mouth & want to encourage more imaginative play, plus then I am really able to play & show him that mommy has an imagination too. This was spot on! I took away a star just because of how complex it is to obtain legos together…I dont remember having to put that much pressure on them to obtain them to stick…It somewhat discourages my little man when his “Masterpiece” falls apart. However, its still a tremendous set if you are wanting to start them into the lego sets!”

I was surprised at what they could build with all the “bits”. It wasn’t long before their dad was on the floor building with them…I should have gotten him a set too. I did ask their mom first & her concern was covered in that they came in their own storage box.”

This really complimented her collection of legos, plus the fact that this came in a relatively huge container, she is able to use it to store the rest of her blocks. I will say that like many other reviewers have said, this is a beginner set, you will want more, this set should be a compliment to others. Second, this does contain a lot of the smaller pieces, up to 8ers (4×2) & a variety of other parts, so you should consider that when you purchase complementing sets. Of course the Lego quality is present & we had no issues with offensive parts or plastic spurs like with some of the other brands. Overall tremendous addition to an ever expanding Lego collection.”
