Dr. Cameron Clokie from Canada Pioneers a new Surgical Technique

Cameron Clokie is one of the nation’s most distinguished oral and maxillofacial surgeons. Perhaps, Dr. Clokie is best known for the innovative medical solutions he helped pioneer as the CEO of the pharmaceutical firm, Induce Biologics Inc.

His illustrious career spanning over the past thirty years are rivaled by few medical professors in Canada and elsewhere. Clokie used to be a full professor of medicine and surgery at the University of Toronto in the late nineties.

At the university, Clokie perfected his research on innovative bone healing and regeneration techniques. Today, the Toronto-based physician holds over 25 international medical patents, to his name.

One good example of a man who owes Dr. Cameron his life and happiness is a 60-year old Canadian called Peter Russel. Here’s Peter Russels amazing medical comeback story as shared on the Globe and Mail.

Mr. Russel got diagnosed with a benign tumor in his lower jaw in late 2003. The tumor caused his lower jaw to extend by a whopping seven centimeters. When the opportunity arose for Peter Russel, a retired banker, to join seven other volunteers for a new reconstructive surgical procedure by Dr. Clokie, Peter didn’t even think twice.

Such tumors, if left untreated often end up blocking the airways and the patient chokes to death.

The procedure involved the use of proteins to induce the growth and proliferation of new bone tissue. Dr. Cameron describes the technique as a process of resetting the biological time clock of the body’s stem cells. Stem cells are responsible for the original growth of all the bones and other vital tissues and organs inside the fetus’ body.

Before Dr. Cameron’s technique came into play, patients were forced to undergo the remarkably painful procedures whereby fats and muscle from other parts of the body would be plucked and then used to grow the needed tissues elsewhere. Today, Peter Russel is a healthy retired man who spends most of his time golfing and enjoying fine wine. The surgical procedure he underwent completely healed him and it left no visible scars on his face.

The only complain Peter had was a mild numbness in his lower jaw areas because one of the crucial nerves feeding this region got severed as part of the procedure.
